Christmas: Part 2

So Christmas day started early with us heading over to Stephen's mom and step-dad's house at 7:30am.

There we opened presents with Stephen's sister Michelle, her husband and 3 girls.

Stephen got a John Calvin beer glass.

Looking at Alice's new story book Bible.

After that we all head over to Stephen's Grandma's house for donuts and more presents.

While we were there Alice had a poop explosion and thankfully I had a change of clothes with me.

Then we headed back over the Stephen's mom's house and Stephen's dad and his wife Patti came over.

Alice then had another poop explosion and thankfully she got clothes for Christmas and so I changed her into some of those.

Stephen's dad dressed up as Santa and handed out stockings and candy canes.

It was pretty exciting for all the kids.

Even the dogs got presents :o)

Then was the attempt to get a picture of all the kids with Santa (the boys are Stephen's step-brother's kids)

This was when I first handed Alice to Santa.

Then she got this look on her face.

Which lead to this:

And me saving her.

Unfortunately Emma and Mae were both sick so there wasn't much interacting between the cousins.  But that didn't keep Alice from thinking Mae was pretty darn funny.

Alice: 4 Months

Weight:  12 lbs 9 oz

Height:  24 inches

Appearance changes:  Not much other than a serious bald spot on her right side and back of her head.

New Skills:  She can roll over (front to back).  She can grab things now, but cant really hold on to them.  She can sit up pretty well as long as we help her balance.  She is laughing and smiling a lot more.

Likes:  She still loves books.  She loves to stand (with us holding on to her, of course).  She got a Sophie the Giraffe for Christmas and she really likes chewing on that.  She also thinks it's funny when I chant like an Indian and cracks up when I end it with a "How!"

Dislikes:  Sitting still for too long.

Firsts: On December 17th Alice was having tummy time on her play mat and she rolled over onto her back, very slowly.

On December 18th she had her first plane flight and first time in California.

On December 19th she was babysat for the first time.

Proof of bald spot:

Super Alice!

Family Photo Shoot

While we were in Napa we did a family photo shoot with the wonderful Nick and Anna Dunne of Nicholas Dunne Photography (http://www.facebook.com/nickdphoto)

It was raining so we had to get creative and we did the pictures in their bedroom.

They turned out really sweet and intimate.

Here are some of my favorites.

Me and Anna, before and after :o)
