Alice is here!

On September 7th at 4:01am our little Alice was born.

She was 6 pounds, 11 ounces and 19 inches long.

She surprised us by having a beautiful head full of brown hair.

I was born with red hair and Stephen was born with blonde hair so brown was the last thing we were expecting.

She has adorable little fingers.

She has her daddy's toes with the second one being longer than the big toe.

She has blue eyes, at least for now.

She makes the cutest little faces.

And is all around the cutest, most perfect baby ever.

At least we think so.

She is now 3 weeks old and leads a very exciting life of eating, sleeping, and pooping.

Sometimes she is fussy but for the most part she is an easy baby.

She makes a lot of funny faces and grunts and growls a lot.

I pretty much don't want to do anything but hold and stare at her.

Hense the reason why it is has taken me 3 weeks to blog about her.

Right now she is sleeping in the Baby K'tan (a wrap baby wearing carrier).

Stephen has done really great with Alice from the beginning.

He had no experience with babies so I was worried he would have a bit of a hard time but he picked it up like a pro.

I can't even express how much I love seeing him with her.

It just makes me melt every time.

The cats have taken a vow to ignore Alice's existence.

Seriously, they don't sniff her.  They don't react when she cries.  It's crazy.

Tiger Lily is jealous that she is not getting as much attention as before.

As for the dogs, Lilo acts jealous when Stephen has Alice but otherwise doesn't pay much attention to her.

Willow on the other hand is highly interested in Alice and will sit a stare at her and cock her head at the different noises Alice makes.

She also really likes to give Alice kisses.

It should be interesting to see how they do as she gets bigger.

Overall, we're all adjusting well and thanking the Lord daily for our wonderful new blessing.

I am still working on writing out the full birth story but hopefully I will be able to post it soon.
